WorkPaper Declaration of AI Use and Privacy Policy Addendum

WorkPaper uses artificial intelligence (AI) language models from OpenAI to improve interaction with our users and enable personalized experiences. However, using AI technology requires access to certain information to enable effective communication. For example, we collect information about your interactions with our chatbots, including text messages, and other inputs to train and improve the AI models.

Please note that interacting with our chatbots may result in the transfer and processing of personal data to OpenAI. Processing of your personal data by OpenAI is in accordance with OpenAI’s privacy policy. By interacting with our chatbots, you consent to OpenAI processing your data and potentially using it for training the AI models.

OpenAI is a company based in San Francisco, California, USA. By using the AI language models and chatbots provided by OpenAI, personal data may be processed outside the EU, especially in the USA.

OpenAI is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield and committed to complying with EU data protection regulations. However, we would like to point out that storage and processing of your personal data at OpenAI takes place in the USA where data protection may not correspond to the same level as in the EU. If you have concerns that your personal data may not be adequately protected, we recommend that you reconsider your consent before interacting with our chatbots.

You have full control over the amount of information shared with OpenAI in the form of WorkPaper’s smartbots, to include “Ava Advisor”. In the native form, no personal or organization specific information is shared with OpenAI from WorkPaper. In the native form, which is the privacy setting automatically set for all users, any and all data shared with OpenAI is fully obfuscated. WorkPaper smartbots will have no knowledge of who you are or your organization is; unless you shared that information with the WorkPaper smartbot.

Furthering, if you are using the native form of the WorkPaper smartbot, no direct financial information that may have been shared with WorkPaper from a 3rd party, will be directly shared with OpenAI. In those cases, the only financial data shared is financial data that has been computed by WorkPaper. An example would be sharing rates of change for any given metric: Your organization has a trailing twelve month growth rate of 14 percent ( %) is one example of what would be shared when the WorkPaper smartbot is in its native version.

You can opt-in for the ‘supercharged version’ of the WorkPaper smartbot. In this form, you are acknowledging that you have the rights and grants to provide WorkPaper the permission to share more specific information about your organiztion, to include data that has been shared with WorkPaper from a 3rd party. In this version of the WorkPaper smartbot, we may share your current assets with OpenAI. This is just one example of the expanded amount of information shared with OpenAI.

At no time, do we ever use any data from You to train, fine-tune, or weight OpenAI. We also never share information with OpenAI to further train, fine-tune, or weight the artificial intelligence models.

If You have questions about our use of artificial intelligence, you can email WorkPaper at privacy@workpaper.app or now@workpaper.app
